About the role

Pixevety is a successful and growing Australian privacy-enhancing technology company helping schools and other organisations to better protect and manage digital media more securely and responsibly. We are looking for an experienced, commercially minded part time Finance Manager to take ownership of our finance function and work closely with the CEO as we continue to grow.

This is a hands-on role combining strong financial management with commercial insight. You'll oversee the fundamentals, including reporting, cash flow, budgeting and financial controls, while helping us better understand the financial drivers of our growing business. The role will initially be three days per week, with flexibility to increase over time, potentially to full-time, as Pixevety and the finance function grow.

Key responsibilities

- Oversee day-to-day financial management and core finance processes

- Ensure financial information is accurate, timely and helpful

- Manage cash flow, budgeting and forecasting

- Work with external accountants, bookkeepers and advisers as required

- Maintain appropriate financial controls and processes

- Prepare clear management reporting for the CEO

- Develop practical dashboards and financial KPIs

- Monitor performance against budgets and forecasts

- Identify trends, risks and opportunities and provide practical recommendations

- Help better understand recurring revenue, margins, customer trends and the financial drivers of growth

About you

- Experience as a Finance Manager, Financial Controller or similar

- Robust budgeting, forecasting, cashflow, and management reporting skills

- Experience with SaaS, technology,



subscription or recurring-revenue businesses would be highly regarded

- Good commercial judgement and the ability to translate numbers into useful insights

- Confidence working directly with a CEO and senior stakeholders

- Strong Excel/financial modelling skills and an interest in improving systems and processes

- The ability to work independently and prioritise effectively

- Relevant accounting/finance qualifications and/or strong practical experience

Qualifications & Prerequisites

To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:

- 5+ years’ practical accounting and finance experience, including experience in a Finance Manager, Financial Controller or similar role.

- A relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline.

- CPA or CA qualification, or progress towards qualification, highly regarded but not essential where substantial relevant experience can be demonstrated.

- Strong practical experience across management accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow management and financial reporting.

- Experience preparing and interpreting P&L;, balance sheet and cash-flow reports.

- Strong Excel and financial modelling skills.

- Working knowledge of Australian financial and tax obligations,



including GST/BAS and payroll-related requirements, with the ability to work effectively with external accountants and advisers.

- Experience with financial accounting systems such as Xero or similar cloud-based platforms.

- Experience in a SaaS, technology, subscription or recurring-revenue business highly regarded.

- An understanding of SaaS metrics such as ARR/MRR, retention, margins and customer economics would be advantageous.

- Strong attention to detail, commercial judgement and the ability to turn financial information into practical business insights.

- The confidence and communication skills to work directly with the CEO and explain financial matters clearly.

- The ability to work independently, take ownership and prioritise effectively within a three-day-per-week role.
