With continued growth across the venue and the broader Laundy Group, we're seeking an experienced and ambitious Duty Manager / Assistant Manager to join our leadership team.

About the Role
As a Duty Manager, you'll be a key part of the venue leadership team, overseeing daily operations across gaming, bars, restaurant, brewery, sports bar and events.

You'll lead from the front during service, coach and support team members, ensure compliance standards are met and create memorable guest experiences every day. No two shifts are the same, and you'll thrive on the challenge of managing a large, multi-faceted venue with high guest volumes and diverse operational demands.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys being on the floor, developing people and driving operational excellence.

What You'll Be Doing

Venue Operations & Leadership

- Manage the day-to-day operation of a large-volume hospitality venue
- Act as Manager on Duty,



ensuring smooth and efficient service across all departments
- Lead busy service periods while maintaining exceptional guest experiences
- Monitor venue performance and proactively solve operational challenges
- Handle guest feedback and resolve issues professionally and effectively
- Maintain high standards of presentation, cleanliness and venue readiness
- Complete operational reporting, cash management and end-of-day procedures
- Ensure compliance with liquor licensing, RSA, RCG and WHS requirements

Gaming, Food & Beverage Operations

- Support and oversee gaming, bar, restaurant and beverage operations
- Drive service standards and consistency across multiple outlets
- Work closely with department leaders to deliver strong commercial and customer outcomes
- Assist with labour management, stock control and cost management initiatives
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, service delivery and venue performance

Team Leadership & Development

- Lead, coach and develop team members across all areas of the business
- Create a positive, engaged and high-performing team culture
- Support recruitment, onboarding and ongoing training programs
- Provide clear direction and leadership during busy trading periods
- Conduct regular coaching and performance conversations with team members
- Support succession planning by identifying and developing future leaders

Events & Functions





- Support the successful execution of functions and events across the venue
- Coordinate operational requirements with the Sales & Events team
- Ensure accurate communication of floorplans, dietary requirements and event details
- Oversee event delivery to ensure exceptional guest experiences
- Assist with event set-up, service execution and pack-down as required

What We're Looking For

- Previous experience as a Duty Manager, Assistant Manager or hospitality leader within a high-volume venue
- Strong understanding of gaming, food and beverage operations
- Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop large teams
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- A calm, hands-on and solutions-focused leadership style
- Professional presentation and commitment to high operational standards
- Current NSW RSA and RCG qualifications
- Availability to work a rotating roster including nights, weekends and public holidays
