About the Role

Redcliffe City Florist is looking for an energetic, enthusiastic and qualified florist to join our busy retail florist and gift shop in Redcliffe, Queensland.

We're looking for someone who genuinely loves flowers, has a bubbly and outgoing personality, enjoys working with customers and thrives in a busy, fast-paced retail environment.

This is a hands-on, physically active role where no two days are the same. Our team is on their feet throughout the working day, and there's always something to do!

We're looking for someone who is hardworking, self-motivated, takes initiative and enjoys being part of a friendly, busy team.

Key Responsibilities

- Creating beautiful bouquets and floral arrangements for all occasions.

- Providing friendly, professional and excellent customer service.

- Serving customers, taking orders and assisting with gift purchases.

- Processing and preparing fresh flowers.

- Unpacking deliveries and restocking flowers, plants and gifts.

- Maintaining attractive flower and gift displays.

- Keeping the shop clean, organised and beautifully presented.

- Assisting with all general day-to-day shop duties.

- Recognising what needs doing and taking initiative without constant direction.

About You

Essential Requirements:

- Certificate III in Floristry – essential.

- Physical fitness and stamina to comfortably manage the demands of a busy retail florist.

- Comfortable standing, walking and staying active throughout the working day.

- Ability to safely lift and carry flower buckets, stock and deliveries.

- A genuine love and passion for flowers and floristry.

- A bubbly, friendly, confident and outgoing personality.

- Excellent customer service and communication skills.





- A strong work ethic and positive, can-do attitude.

- Self-motivated, with the ability to think independently and take initiative.

- Able to work quickly and efficiently while maintaining high standards.

- Reliable, organised and able to multitask.

- Neat, professional presentation and excellent attention to detail.

- Happy to assist with all aspects of running a florist and gift shop.

- Must be available and willing to work weekends.

Highly Regarded:

- Previous experience working in a busy retail florist.

- Experience creating bouquets and floral arrangements for customers.

- Robust retail sales and customer service experience.

- Confidence working independently and as part of a team.

Both experienced retail florists and newly qualified Certificate III florists are encouraged to apply.

Hours & Availability

Flexible hours available, with the opportunity for 30+ hours per week for the right candidate.

Hours will depend on experience, performance and business needs.

Weekend availability is essential.
