About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Maintenance Planner to join our Norseman Operations team. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance activities across our underground mining fleet to ensure equipment remains safe, reliable, and available to meet operational targets.

Working closely with maintenance and operational teams, you will play a critical role in improving equipment performance, managing maintenance systems and data, and driving continuous improvement across the operation.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and manage preventative maintenance plans and schedules for underground mobile equipment and light vehicles.
- Coordinate planned maintenance activities to maximise equipment reliability, availability, and utilisation.
- Manage maintenance records, asset information, and planning systems to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.
- Raise, schedule, monitor, and close work orders while managing outstanding and overdue maintenance activities.
- Coordinate component change-outs and manage rotatable assets.
- Conduct equipment failure analysis and implement improvement initiatives to enhance fleet performance.
- Manage inventory requirements and coordinate parts availability for scheduled maintenance activities.
- Oversee servicing schedules, oil sampling programs, statutory inspections, and compliance-related maintenance requirements.
- Assist with asset disposal processes, capital equipment requests, plant transfers, and management of change activities.




- Support contractor and supplier management processes, including warranty claims where required.
- Participate in risk assessments, workplace inspections, incident investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Attend pre-start meetings, toolbox talks, and safety meetings while actively promoting a positive safety culture.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

- Mechanical or Electrical Trade Qualification, or a tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
- Previous experience in a Maintenance Planner role within underground mining or a similar heavy industry environment.
- Underground mining experience, preferably with heavy mobile equipment.
- Current Manual Driver's Licence.
- Current First Aid and CPR qualification (desirable).
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and maintenance management systems.
- Excellent planning, scheduling, and organisational skills.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and failure analysis capabilities.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- A commitment to safety, innovation, and continuous improvement.
