Port Hedland Air Freight (PHAF) is looking for a reliable, motivated and customer-focused Courier Driver to join our team at Port Hedland Airport. Opportunities to be trained up into a truck driver role in our Road Freight division for the right candidate exist in this ever growing business.

If you enjoy being on the road, working independently, meeting customers and being part of a busy logistics operation, this could be a great fit.

This is a permanent full-time position, generally working 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday, with the chance to become a valued long-term member of our local team.

You’ll be representing PHAF across the Hedland region while working with freight and logistics partners including Australia Post, FedEx Express, Qantas Freight, Virgin Australia Cargo, StarTrack and Team Global Express.

What you’ll be doing

Your day will be varied and hands-on, including:

- Completing daily freight deliveries and pick-ups throughout Port Hedland, South Hedland & Wedgefield

- Sorting, scanning and processing freight accurately

- Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently

- Providing friendly,



professional service to our customers

- Representing PHAF and our freight partners professionally

- Keeping your company vehicle clean, presentable and well maintained

- Assisting with afternoon dispatch operations and incoming flight freight

- Supporting general depot operations and maintenance when required

About you

We’re looking for someone who is:

- Reliable, punctual and takes pride in doing a job properly

- Friendly, professional and comfortable dealing with customers

- Physically fit and comfortable with a hands-on role

- Well organised and able to work efficiently without constant supervision

- A strong team player with a positive attitude

- Comfortable using handheld scanning devices and basic computer applications

- Safety-conscious and able to follow procedures accurately

Essential requirements

To be considered for this role, you must:

- Currently live in Port Hedland or South Hedland

- Have unrestricted working rights in Australia

- Hold a current C Class manual driver’s licence

- Be able to obtain/hold a satisfactory National Police Clearance

- Be willing to complete a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening

- Be reliable and able to meet the compliance requirements of an airport-based logistics environment

Previous experience in courier driving, freight, transport, warehousing, aviation or logistics would be an advantage, but it is not essential. If you have the right attitude, reliability and willingness to learn, we’d still like to hear from you.
