We are currently seeking a Supply Superintendent to join our team. This is a three-year fixed term position at our Simberi Operation. Working a 21/14 FIFO Roster from any Australian capital city.

Reporting to the Manager Finance, Commercial & Administration, you will be responsible for leading the site supply team in overseeing the purchasing, logistics, warehouse and inventory management functions. The role will be responsible for implementing and maintaining supply policies and procedures that are consistent with corporate requirements, are practical in their application and deliver value to the Simberi operation.

Key responsibilities

- Providing leadership, mentoring and supervision to the Supply and Warehouse teams.

- Controlling internal warehouse activities to ensure efficient receiving, storing, and distribution of goods.

- Conducting regular stock takes to ensure accuracy and availability of stock.





- Working closely with the Maintenance teams to ensure availability of critical parts.

- Developing and recommending improvements in warehouse practices to promote safety and customer satisfaction.

- Providing inventory reporting and analysis to the Finance, Commercial and Administration Manager as required.

- Providing expediting reports to the site maintenance teams on a weekly or fortnightly basis.

- Monitoring and proposing changes to inventory levels to ensure the efficient use of the company’s working capital and develop and initiate strategies for the reduction of slow moving and obsolete stock.

- Actively work with site Maintenance staff to ensure cost effective and efficient planning for shutdowns and emergency breakdowns.

- Creating and maintaining policies, procedures, and workflows for the Supply department activities, from end-to-end inventory and warehouse management to logistics and transportation (air, sea, and land).

- Ensuring Recent Simberi Gold receives the best value from the purchasing and expediting function by effectively negotiating prices, terms, and other areas that can deliver value in the context of Total Cost of Ownership.

- Strong relevant end to end supply experience in the resources industry.

- Demonstrated experience in a similar role successfully, driving outcomes for operational sites and corporate objectives.

- Demonstrated capability in leading a team, organising work of others, setting priorities and exercising sound independent judgement.

- Strong interpersonal, influencing and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to develop and maintain productive working relationships with site personnel, suppliers and customers.

- Ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities and reconciling these with the longer term supply objectives.

- Strong commercial acumen as well as numerical and analytical skills.

- Experience working in a developing and remote location would be an advantage.
