Job Summary

About the Role

HCLTech is seeking an experienced Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Oracle database development, advanced SQL programming, performance tuning, and large-scale data processing. This role requires an individual who can quickly understand business requirements and translate them into efficient and scalable technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and maintain Oracle database solutions using SQL and PL/SQL.

- Analyze business requirements and convert them into technical designs and database solutions.

- Develop and maintain Packages, Procedures, Functions, Triggers, Cursors, External Tables, and other database objects.

- Create and optimize complex SQL queries for high performance and scalability.

- Develop data extraction, transformation, and reporting solutions.

- Create and manage batch processing jobs and database scheduling activities.

- Generate reports through flat files, Excel extracts,



and automated database processes.

- Monitor and optimize database performance, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and implement tuning recommendations.

- Work with large-volume databases and ensure data integrity, quality, and reliability.

- Collaborate with business stakeholders, application teams, and support teams to deliver robust solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

- 7-9+ years of experience in SQL and PL/SQL development.

- Strong expertise in Advanced SQL concepts.

- Hands-on experience with Oracle Database 12c and 19c.

- Strong PL/SQL programming skills with proven experience in:

- Packages

- Procedures

- Functions

- Triggers

- Views

- Cursors

- External Tables

- Experience in database performance tuning and query optimization.

- Strong knowledge of writing high-performance SQL and PL/SQL programs.

- Experience working with large-volume transactional databases.

- Expertise in batch processing, database jobs, and report generation.

- Ability to troubleshoot complex database issues and provide effective solutions.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

- Exposure to ETL and data migration projects.





- Experience with database monitoring and administration activities.

- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts.

- Experience working in enterprise-scale production environments.

- Understanding of Agile delivery methodologies.
