Our client is a Large Government Organisation seeking an experienced Functional Tester to join their team in Gungahlin ACT.

Role Summary

The Functional Tester will support major digital transformation and workforce modernisation initiatives by planning designing executing and reporting on testing activities across enterprise applications and system integrations. The role involves ensuring solutions meet business requirements and are fit for purpose before deployment.

Key Responsibilities:
Plan design and execute functional integration regression and user acceptance testing (UAT).
Develop test plans test cases and test scripts; identify analyse and manage defects.
Coordinate System Integration Testing (SIT) support UAT and maintain requirements traceability while collaborating with business stakeholders developers and vendors.

Selection Criteria:
experience in functional testing SIT regression testing and UAT support including testing REST APIs and system integrations.




Demonstrated experience developing test cases test scripts test plans and traceability matrices with robust defect management and analytical skills.
Experience with Azure DevOps Jira or similar test management tools Agile delivery settings and enterprise ICT transformation programs. ISTQB Foundation Level certification or equivalent is required.

On offer is a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension at a highly sought-after ACT Government organisation with a highly competitive hourly rate.

Please note: Canberra-based candidates are preferred with 2 days onsite per week required. A 12 page suitability pitch and completed Candidate Self-Assessment Checklist must be included with submissions.
