Are you an experienced Public Liability, Casualty or Liability Claims professional looking to build your technical expertise in a highly specialised area of insurance?
We're seeking a Claims Officer to join our Liability Claims team, managing a portfolio of third-party property damage claims arising under liability policies of insurance.
This is an opportunity to work on complex and varied matters, apply your liability knowledge, and develop your career within a supportive and technically focused environment.
This is a permanent full-time role open to applicants based in Brisbane and Sydney.
What you'll be doing You'll take ownership of an end-to-end portfolio of liability claims, investigating indemnity and liability, developing relevant claim strategies, negotiating outcomes and delivering fair, commercially sound decisions.
Your day may involve:Managing a diverse portfolio of public liability claims from lodgement through to resolutionInvestigating liability, quantum and indemnity issuesGathering and analysing evidence to support claim outcomesEngaging with brokers, customers, solicitors, experts and other stakeholdersNegotiating settlements and contributing to dispute resolution strategiesIdentifying recovery opportunities and managing litigation exposures where requiredMaking decisions that balance customer outcomes with commercial risk What we're looking for We're keen to hear from professionals with experience managing public liability claims or third-party claims.
