Join our Waste Team delivering essential waste and recycling services across the municipality, including litter control, litter bin collection and landfill operations.
Provide quality customer service through kerbside bin maintenance and street cleaning.
About the Opportunity
This position is responsible for performing a range of daily waste management and customer service duties.
These include controlling litter around the landfill, collecting and emptying public bins, and ensuring efficient recycling and waste disposal operations across landfill and transfer stations.
The role also involves processing payments and recording incoming waste using digital systems, as well as delivering kerbside services such as bin maintenance, illegal dumping collection, and street cleaning in line with established procedures.
What you will bring
Ideally the successful applicant will have the following:
Knowledge of waste services practices and procedures, including recycling and landfill operations.
Experience in customer service and communication
Ability to operate a tablet, smart phone, EFTPOS and apply the appropriate charges.
Current Light Rigid Truck Licence
Salary and Conditions
The position is classified withinBand 2of Council's Current Enterprise Agreement commencing at $***** per hour including industry allowance plus statutory superannuation.
