Salvos Stores is looking for a passionate and experiencedArea Managerto lead a network of retail stores acrossVIC North/ACT areas.
Based in theGreater Bendigo region, with your office located atWhip Court Salvos Store, Bendigo, thispermanent full-timeopportunity offers the chance to combine solid retail leadership with purpose-driven work that helps transform lives and strengthen communities.
What You'll Do
Inspire, coach, and develop a passionate team of Store Managers, paid staff, and volunteers.
Collaborate with the Regional Manager to align area performance with national strategy.
Lead your area to meet key KPIs—sales, surplus, safety, and service—including eCommerce-related goals.
Champion operational excellence, merchandising standards, and a "safety-first" culture.




Analyse and act on business reports to drive strong commercial and social results.
Manage new store openings, refurbishments, and store transitions.
Proactively recruit and retain volunteers and employees across all locations.
About You
Demonstrated success inmulti-site retail management.
Excellent people leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire teams through change.
Strong commercial acumen and confidence with business reporting.
A hands-on approach and a heart for community impact.
Aligned with our mission and values:integrity, respect, compassion, collaboration, and diversity.
Diploma in Retail, Business or Management (desirable).
Valid driver's licence (essential).
