Bauer Foundations Australia – Narangba QLD
Bauer Foundations Australia Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Diesel Fitter to join our team on a full-time basis at our Narangba, QLD facility. This is a critical role within our operations, where you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of diesel-powered equipment and machinery. Our Diesel Fitters play an essential part in ensuring our equipment operates at peak efficiency, minimising downtime and supporting the overall productivity of our business. Your expertise will be fundamental to maintaining our fleet and supporting our operational excellence.
Key responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance and servicing of diesel engines and related equipment
Diagnose mechanical faults and defects in diesel-powered machinery using appropriate diagnostic tools and techniques
Repair and replace faulty components, including transmissions, pumps, filters, and other engine parts
Conduct overhauls and rebuilds of diesel engines to factory specifications
Test repaired equipment to ensure proper functionality and performance standards
Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work completed
Adhere to all health and safety regulations and workplace procedures
Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and project completion
Source and order replacement parts as required
About you
Trade qualification or certificate in diesel fitting or equivalent recognised qualification
Proven experience as a Diesel Fitter or in a similar role working with diesel engines and machinery
Strong technical knowledge of diesel engine and hydraulic systems
Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and hand and power tools relevant to the trade
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and service manuals
Sound understanding of health and safety regulations and workplace compliance requirements
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Physical fitness to perform manual handling and work in various conditions
Valid driver's license as well as confined space, forklift and/or working at heights tickets
Full-time employment with reliable, ongoing work
Typical working week of Monday - Friday
