What you'll do
Provide personal care, including showering, grooming, dressing, toileting and mobility support, while maintaining dignity and respecting individual preferences




Support participants to develop independence and life skills in line with their NDIS goals and daily routines
Assist with light domestic duties such as meal preparation, cleaning, laundry and shopping to maintain a safe living environment
Facilitate community access by accompanying or transporting participants to social, recreational or educational activities
Monitor participants' wellbeing and report any changes or concerns to supervisors or relevant health professionals
Maintain accurate records of care, progress and incidents in accordance with organisational and NDIS requirements
Assist with rehabilitation activities, therapeutic exercises and basic treatments under the guidance of allied health professionals
Support therapists during sessions and assist with medication administration where trained and authorised
Ensure compliance with the NDIS Practice Standards, workplace health and safety, and mandatory reporting obligations
Essential
Certificate III or higher in Aged Care, Individual Support or equivalent
Minimum 12 months' relevant work experience (Australian or overseas)
Current First Aid and CPR certificate
National Police Check and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain them)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Empathy, patience and a strong commitment to quality care
Desirable
Experience working with elderly clients or people with disability
Valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle (for community care roles)
Multilingual abilities
Ability to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays
