Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of opportunities, they are seeking an experienced, commercially focused Business Development Manager to drive sustainable growth and strengthen their market presence in the south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne. This organisation prides itself on its self-delivery model, integrity and consistency in upgrading machinery and fleet.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role in identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic client relationships, and securing profitable contracts in the commercial cleaning sector to support their next stage of growth.

This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven professional who thrives on building networks, creating opportunities, and delivering winning solutions for clients.

Key Responsibilities

This exciting opportunity will see you leading the:

- Identification, development and securing of new business opportunities across targeted markets, ideally in the circa $250k to $1.5 million range
- Generating and managing a strong sales pipeline through proactive business development activities, ideally in the education, industrial, hospitality and commercial sectors
- Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers
- Preparing tailored proposals, tenders, and presentations
- Conducting client meetings, site inspections, and opportunity assessments
- Collaborating with operational teams to develop competitive and innovative service solutions
- Negotiating commercial agreements and contract terms
- Monitoring market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities
- Achieving and exceeding revenue and growth targets

About You





We are looking for someone who is driven and has a spark! You will be joining an established business looking to take it to the next level. While experience in commercial cleaning, facilities management or property services is highly regarded, it's not essential.

Key attributes include:

- Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management in a service environment. A hunter-gatherer is warmly welcomed!
- A strong track record of achieving sales targets and winning new business
- Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation capabilities
- Exceptional presentation, proposal writing, and communication skills
- Down-to-earth, genuine and relatable personality
- The ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team culture
- A current driver's licence and willingness to travel as required
