Role
As the Project Engineer you will provide high quality and innovative engineering services, contract management and project programming to the Project team. Responsibilities include.

- Coordinate with Managers and Superintendents on Engineering, temporary works, scheduling and status of the project.
- Provide general technical assistance to supervisory personnel.
- Coordinate resources including manpower and monitor progress, evaluate results and recommend changes in specifications or plans as appropriate.
- Monitor progress ensuring that work quality and techniques are of a high standard and report regularly on progress and findings.




- Prepare reports on progress, manpower and costs and coordinate the work scheduling and procurement.
- Ensure that the budgetary targets set for each trade package are met or exceeded.
- Undertake and assist in cost controlling, estimating, budgeting, forecasting, sub-contract claim review and commercial negotiation activities.

Background
To be considered for this role you will have:

- Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering
- Specialist experience in project engineering and a working knowledge of project management
- Solid technical knowledge and understanding.
- Must have road construction experience
- High level of communication, written and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated experience in effective supervision, monitoring of sub-contractors and other trades.
