LIVE IN AU PAIR – ALTONA MEADOWS (MELBOURNE) VIC - NOVEMBER 2026 ASAP START- 3 MONTH PLACEMENT

Fantastic opportunity to join a warm, welcoming multicultural family (Dutch and Malaysian) living in a beautiful home in Altona Meadows, Melbourne!

This lovely family includes a Hospital Clinic Coordinator Mum, a Medical Practitioner/Educator Dad, their curious, active toddler boy (turning 2 in December), and two friendly cats.

You will be working for approximately 30 hours per week focusing primarily on morning and evening routines plus childcare on Tuesdays and Sundays when the toddler is home.
Daycare is within walking distance four days a week, and Fridays and Saturdays are regular days off!

As an exciting bonus, the au pair can accompany the family on an all-expenses-paid trip to Queensland (staying at a beachside resort) from November 11–15, 2026!
The sweet toddler boy loves football, animals (especially giraffes!), his play kitchen, music, and water play. He thrives with patient, attentive care, room to explore, and gentle, consistent boundaries.

The Location & Home
Live in style in a modern home equipped with an outdoor solar-heated swimming pool, spacious shared living spaces, and a lovely garden! You will enjoy total privacy in your own private bedroom and private bathroom.

Altona Meadows is a peaceful, family-friendly suburb close to parks, playgrounds, and shops. Public transport is easily accessible, taking you straight to Melbourne CBD in 25 minutes or to local beaches in 30 minutes!

An e-bike is also occasionally available for local use.

The Experience





Your everyday interactions centre on assisting with toddler morning and evening routines, engaging in age-appropriate play, meal prep, and light family assistance (such as dishes and ironing).
The family have a regular cleaner and driving is not required for this role.

What’s Included:
Accommodation & Meals: Private bedroom and private bathroom in a pool home, plus all meals covered.
Salary: You will be employed by the family, hourly rate negotiable on age/experience

Requirements: Patient, reliable, proactive, and comfortable caring for a toddler
Honest, respectful of privacy, with strong communication skills.

Ideally be available for an immediate/November 2026 start and available to travel to Queensland Nov 11–15 and available for an initial 3-month placement.
