Optical Dispenser / Optical Assistant | Miranda
Up to $73K package, plus penalty rates, bonuses and benefits
Our client in Miranda is looking for an Optical Dispenser or Optical Assistant to join a busy optical team. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available, working four to five days per week.
Salary and benefits
- Optical Dispenser: $65,000 base plus 12% superannuation ($7,800), bringing the full-time annual package to $72,800 - approximately $73K.
- Trainee Optical Assistant: $56,000 base plus 12% superannuation ($6,720), bringing the full time annual package to $62,720 - approximately $63K.
- Penalty rates for weekends, nights and public holidays, plus bonuses, are additional.
- Uniforms and four free pairs of glasses each year.
- Birthday leave and one volunteer leave day each year.
- Consecutive days off and annual performance reviews.
- Extensive training and a learning library, with internal and external training programs fully funded by the store.
- Career progression towards management and store ownership for the right candidate.
Hours and location
The roster includes at least one weekend day each week and at least one Thursday late night per month. The practice is in a major Miranda shopping centre, conveniently located near train and bus services, with staff and street parking available.
About the role
Join a team of 28 full-time, part-time and casual colleagues in a well-equipped optical practice. You will help customers select frames, lenses and optical products, provide attentive customer service, and support daily store operations. Training is available for applicants entering optical retail.
About you
You enjoy helping customers, communicate clearly and work well in a busy team. Optical dispensing or optical retail experience would be valuable; applicants interested in an Optical Assistant pathway are also welcome.
