Our client in Miranda is looking for a keen, customer-focused person to train as an Optical Dispenser. No previous optical experience is required.
If you enjoy helping people and want a long-term career in a busy retail environment, this could be your next step. You'll learn daily optical store operations with an experienced team, supported by training and opportunities to progress towards management or store partnership.
Salary and benefits
- $57,000 base salary plus 12% superannuation ($6,840), bringing the annual package to $63,840 - approximately $64K.
- Penalty rates and bonuses are additional.
- Uniforms and four free pairs of glasses each year.

Hours and roster
This is a full-time position working 38 hours per week.
The roster includes at least one weekend day each week and one Thursday late night per month.
About you
You enjoy customer service and are keen to build a career in optical dispensing. Experience in retail, hospitality or another service role would be valuable.
You bring clear communication, valuable listening skills, a positive team approach and the drive to work in a fast-paced retail setting.
The role
You'll learn to help customers choose frames, lenses, sunglasses and accessories, support reception and telephone bookings, and assist with daily store operations. You'll listen to customers' needs and help them find options that suit their everyday lives.
