Accounts Officer – Accounts Payable & Receivable

Are you an experienced Accounts Officer who enjoys variety, working with numbers and keeping things organised?

We're working with a business looking for a reliable and detail-focused Accounts Officer to support its day-to-day finance operations.

This is a excellent opportunity for someone with experience across accounts payable and receivable who enjoys taking ownership of their work, building relationships and ensuring everything runs smoothly.

The Opportunity In this hands-on position, you'll be responsible for managing daily AP and AR activities, maintaining accurate financial records and assisting with month-end processes.

You'll play an important role in keeping supplier and customer accounts up to date, resolving discrepancies and ensuring payments and invoices are processed accurately.

What You'll Be Doing

- Processing and coding supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and appropriate approvals.
- Preparing supplier payments and reconciling supplier statements.
- Raising customer invoices, allocating payments and following up outstanding accounts.
- Maintaining accurate supplier and customer records.




- Supporting month-end reconciliations and resolving outstanding account discrepancies.
- Liaising with suppliers, customers and internal teams to ensure smooth accounts processes.

What We're Looking For
- At least 2 years' experience in an Accounts Officer or similar position.
- Experience across accounts payable and receivable, ideally in a combined role.
- Confidence using Xero or a similar accounting system.
- Positive working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- A friendly, professional communication style and a proactive approach to your work.
