Shadbolt Group is seeking a hands-on SMP Supervisor – Lifting & Production to join our team on the Snowy 2.0 project on a 2:1 Roster.

This is an opportunity for an experienced supervisor with strong lifting, rigging and installation knowledge to take ownership of day-to-day site operations, lead crews and keep critical work fronts moving safely, efficiently and to plan.

The opportunity You’ll play a key role in coordinating lifting and installation activities, managing site crews and driving production outcomes in a complex, safety-critical construction environment.

Working closely with Shadbolt’s project management team and project stakeholders, you’ll turn work plans into results — ensuring the right people, equipment and materials are in place to deliver the job.

What you’ll be doing

- Supervise lifting operations, rigging activities and mechanical installation works.
- Lead and coordinate site crews to achieve daily production targets and project milestones.
- Ensure lift plans, SWMS, permits and critical safety controls are in place and followed.
- Allocate labour, equipment and resources to maximise productivity and minimise downtime.
- Monitor progress, resolve operational challenges and escalate delays or constraints.
- Maintain high standards of safety, quality, housekeeping and project compliance.




- Coordinate with project management, HSE, quality teams, VOITH and other site stakeholders.
- Complete daily reporting covering production, labour, equipment and progress.

What you’ll bring

- Proven experience supervising lifting, rigging, installation or industrial construction activities.
- Robust practical knowledge of lifting operations, load control and associated safety requirements.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary crews on major projects or in heavy industrial environments.
- The ability to read and interpret drawings, work packs, lift plans and method statements.
- Relevant trade qualifications or equivalent industry experience.
- Current high-risk work licences and relevant rigging, dogging or lifting competencies.
- A proactive, safety-first mindset and a track record of delivering results.

Experience on major infrastructure, hydro, power generation or remote construction projects will be highly regarded.
