About us

We're an established, family-owned commercial plumbing and gas contractor with our HQ in O'Connor. We work across Tier 1 and Tier 2 construction and commercial maintenance. Our maintenance division looks after universities, schools and commercial facilities across the Perth metro area. We're putting proper systems behind the division and need an operations lead to own it.

The role

You'll run the day-to-day operations of the Maintenance division and turn won work into delivered profit. Sales and pricing sit with our Maintenance Business Development role – you own delivery and cost. Reporting to the General Manager, you'll lead the Maintenance Supervisor and the Scheduler & Invoicing Coordinator, and through them the technician team. Based out of our O'Connor HQ.

What you'll own

- Job delivery at or above quoted margin – review jobs before they start, control labour and materials, capture variations on site

- Daily job allocation and the scheduling function

- Invoicing – completed jobs costed correctly and invoiced on time

- Quality, safety and compliance – reduce rework and callbacks, resolve client service complaints within 24 hours

- Systems and SOPs – job flow in Simpro, van stock and tooling, client invoicing templates





- Coaching and managing your direct reports against clear scorecards and KPIs

How you'll be measured

Delivered gross profit against quoted, labour efficiency, rework rate, client satisfaction and invoicing turnaround. No vague targets – you'll have a written role scorecard from day one.

What we're after

- Background in commercial plumbing, maintenance or a related trade – a licensed plumber is highly regarded

- Proven experience running a service or maintenance team, scheduling and job costing

- Commercially minded – you know what a job should cost and act early when it's drifting

- Confident with job management software (Simpro or similar) and comfortable with Basecamp, Xero and SharePoint

- Organised, direct and positive with clients and techs alike

- Current WA driver's licence
