The Glenmore Hotel | The Rocks, Sydney

The Glenmore is one of Sydney’s most iconic pubs, sitting in the heart of The Rocks with one of the city’s best-known rooftop bars and some of the best views in Sydney.

We’re looking for a Venue Manager to join our management team and help lead the day-to-day operation of this busy, high-volume venue.

This is a hands-on role suited to an emerging manager or a strong hospitality supervisor ready to take the next step. You don’t need to arrive knowing everything — we’re looking for someone with a positive attitude, initiative and a genuine eagerness to learn.

With a stable, experienced team around you, we can provide the training, guidance and support to help you build your confidence and grow into the role.

The Role

As Venue Manager, you’ll be part of the venue management team, working closely with our General Manager and senior managers to deliver great service and keep the venue running smoothly.

You’ll be responsible for:

- Running shifts and leading the team through busy services
- Being visible on the floor and leading from the front
- Delivering a consistently great guest experience
- Coaching, supporting and developing our team
- Managing opening and closing procedures
- Handling guest feedback and resolving issues during service
- Maintaining high standards of presentation, service and cleanliness
- Supporting cash handling, stock and day-to-day operational processes
- Ensuring RSA, WHS and venue compliance standards are maintained
- Helping create a positive, energetic and supportive team culture

About You

We’re looking for someone who loves hospitality, enjoys the buzz of a busy pub and is ready to build a career in venue management.

You’ll bring:

- Experience in a pub,



bar or hospitality venue, ideally with some supervisory or team leadership responsibilities
- A positive, eager attitude and a willingness to learn from those around you
- Initiative, reliability and the drive to take on new responsibilities
- Strong communication and people skills
- A hands-on approach — you’re happiest on the floor with your team
- The ability to stay calm under pressure and ask for guidance when needed
- A genuine focus on providing great customer experiences
- A current NSW RSA
