About the Position Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Oral Health Therapist (OHT) to join its specialist orthodontic team on a part-time basis, working Thursday and Friday each week at $70 per hour.
This role offers the opportunity to concentrate your clinical work into two consistent days, leaving the remainder of the week available for your own priorities.

You'll enjoy a high level of clinical autonomy while working closely with an experienced Specialist Orthodontist who provides ongoing mentorship, professional guidance and virtual clinical support.

For clinicians based in Melbourne, Thursday night accommodation can be arranged, making it possible to enjoy the advantages of the position without immediately committing to a regional move.

Your clinical responsibilities will include:

- Supporting orthodontic treatments, including traditional braces and clear aligner therapy.
- Assisting with treatment planning, patient reviews and monitoring orthodontic progress.
- Performing orthodontic procedures within your professional scope of practice.
- Providing preventative oral healthcare, hygiene education and patient advice.
- Supporting adolescent and adult patients throughout their orthodontic treatment journeys.




- Collaborating with the specialist orthodontic team to deliver excellent patient outcomes.
- Creating a comfortable and positive experience for patients.

For those wanting additional clinical variety or earning opportunities, there may also be options to work extra days at nearby general dental practices while maintaining your broader Oral Health Therapy skills.
Key Requirements

- Bachelor of Oral Health or equivalent recognised qualification.
- Current AHPRA registration as an Oral Health Therapist.
- Previous orthodontic experience is highly desirable.
- An interest in orthodontics and commitment to professional development.
- Confidence working independently with access to specialist support.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A positive, friendly approach to patient care and teamwork.
- Excellent attention to detail and clinical standards.
- Full Australian working rights, as sponsorship is not available.
