As a Casual Support Worker, you’ll play a vital role in helping people remain safe, supported and independent in their own homes while building a meaningful and rewarding career.

About the Role

As a Casual Support Worker, you’ll make a real difference in your local community by providing practical assistance, companionship and encouragement to help clients achieve their personal goals and maintain their independence.

Every day is different, with services tailored to meet each client’s individual needs, preferences and goals.

Whether you’re an experienced Support Worker or looking to build on your skills in the care sector, you’ll be supported through ongoing training and guidance to help you succeed.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities May Include

- Providing personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing and personal hygiene.
- Assisting with domestic tasks such as cleaning, laundry, meal preparation and maintaining a safe home environment.
- Supporting social and community participation, including appointments, shopping and outings.
- Assisting clients to develop daily living skills and maintain their independence.
- Providing medication assistance and transport support, where appropriately trained and authorised.
- Providing respite care and supporting clients with varying physical, emotional and behavioural needs.

What We’re Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Flexible working arrangements to suit service requirements.
- A current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- A current Queensland C or CA class driver’s licence and a reliable, roadworthy vehicle.
- A Certificate III or higher in Individual Support, or an equivalent qualification.
- Experience in personal care, manual handling and behavioural support.
- Medication administration competency.
- A compassionate, client-centred approach.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to respond effectively to wide-ranging situations.
