Our client is a long-established, full-service suburban firm in South West Sydney, known for practical, hands-on advice to local families and businesses. They are looking for a Senior Family Lawyer who wants to run a meaningful caseload and still be home for dinner.

About the role

A senior family law seat running your own caseload of parenting and property matters, from first instructions through to final orders:

• Run family law files end to end, including parenting matters and property settlements
• Advise clients on separation, divorce, parenting arrangements and financial settlements
• Draft and negotiate consent orders, parenting plans and binding financial agreements
• Prepare matters for mediation, conciliation and court, and appear in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia




• Support and mentor less experienced colleagues as the team requires
• Build lasting relationships with clients and local referrers

What you'll bring

• 7 to 10+ years PAE in family law, across both parenting and property matters
• Admission to practise in NSW with a current practising certificate
• The confidence to run files independently and appear in court
• Solid drafting and negotiation skills, with a calm and empathetic manner with clients in difficult circumstances
• Happy working from the office, Monday to Friday
