About the Role:

Reporting to the Accounts Manager – Metal West, this role is ideally based in Kalgoorlie; however, applications from Perth-based candidates are also encouraged. The position supports customers across the region and drives the growth of Sandvik’s metal product range.

You’ll work closely with underground mine sites, providing technical advice, conducting on‑site product testing, and ensuring our solutions perform safely and effectively. This is a hands‑on role offering autonomy, customer interaction, and the opportunity to represent a respected global brand.

Key responsibilities include:

- Build strong customer relationships and provide technical sales support

- Conduct on‑site product installation, pull and tension testing across underground mine sites

- Support product trials and optimise product performance

- Monitor customer demand, stock levels, and usage within the territory

- Identify new business opportunities and support regional sales initiatives

- Complete site visit, activity, forecasting, and competitor reports

- Maintain compliance with safety, environmental, and site requirements

- Conduct regular site travel and work across multiple underground mine sites as required

About You:

You have hands‑on experience in technical sales within underground mining environments and are comfortable working independently across multiple mine sites. You confidently engage with operators and site technical teams, provide practical underground product advice, and conduct on‑site installation, pull and tension testing.



With solid commercial awareness and a safety‑first mindset, you understand the demands of underground operations and deliver solutions that perform where it matters most.

You are comfortable working remotely while maintaining a commitment to regular scheduled site visits and travel away from home when required. Experience working underground is highly regarded, and you are physically capable of performing a predominantly hands‑on role, including manual handling tasks. You can work safely and effectively in challenging underground environments, including hot, dusty and noisy conditions. Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to use reporting and business systems, are also essential.
