CoreStaff is recruiting entry level Machine Operators for an established food manufacturer in Adelaide.
This is an opportunity to learn practical skills and build a career in food manufacturing. You do not need to be an experienced machine operator, but you will need a willingness to learn, a practical approach and a strong commitment to attendance and safety.
You will initially work as a casual (full time weekly hours) employee through CoreStaff, with the opportunity to transition to permanent full time employment with our client after approximately three months, subject to performance, attendance and business requirements.
What you will be doing
Working alongside experienced operators and team leaders, you will learn to:
- Operate and monitor production or packaging machinery.
- Load materials and keep production lines supplied.
- Check product quality, packaging and labelling.
- Identify and report machine faults or production issues.
- Complete production records and quality checks.
- Clean equipment and maintain a tidy work area.
- Follow food hygiene, safety and operating procedures.
Machine operation and adjustments will be undertaken within your training and authorisation.
What we are looking for
- Availability for weekly rotating day, afternoon and night shifts.
- Reliable attendance, punctuality and transport.
- The ability to follow instructions and communicate clearly.
- Comfort working on your feet and completing repetitive tasks safely.
- A positive attitude and willingness to work across different tasks.
- Australian working rights suitable for ongoing employment.
Previous factory, warehouse, packaging or production experience will be helpful, but machine operating experience is not essential.
