About the role

The National Hotshot Manager & Regional Operations Manager (WA & QLD) is responsible for leading and growing PEP Transport’s national hotshot and urgent freight division while providing operational leadership and performance oversight across regional branch operations in Western Australia and Queensland.

This senior leadership role combines strategic direction, commercial growth and hands-on operational management to ensure exceptional customer service, safety, network efficiency, profitability and team engagement. The successful candidate will develop and execute growth strategies for the national hotshot division while ensuring regional branches operate consistently and effectively in line with company standards, values and objectives.

The role will oversee an established team of operational personnel and branch-based staff across Brisbane, Mackay, Perth and Kalgoorlie, working closely with existing Branch Managers and operational teams to strengthen performance, develop capability and maintain consistent service delivery across the network.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced transport and logistics leader who can balance national growth objectives with operational requirements, build robust customer relationships and drive a culture of accountability, professionalism and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

- Lead the national hotshot and urgent freight division, driving revenue growth, market expansion and new business opportunities.

- Oversee branch operations across Brisbane, Mackay, Perth and Kalgoorlie, supporting Branch Managers and established teams to achieve operational and financial targets.

- Manage commercial performance, including budgets, margins, profitability, cost control and productivity.

- Oversee hotshot, express freight, linehaul and time-critical delivery operations, ensuring reliable, efficient and customer-focused service.

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers,



drivers and subcontractors.

- Implement consistent operational procedures, safety standards and performance measures across the division and regional branches.

- Lead, develop and engage teams, promoting accountability, effective communication and high performance.

- Monitor operational and financial results, identify improvement opportunities and proactively resolve challenges.

- Ensure compliance with transport regulations, workplace health and safety requirements and company policies.

About you

- Minimum 5 years’ senior leadership experience in transport, logistics, freight or supply chain operations.

- Proven experience managing multiple branches, depots or geographically dispersed teams.

- Strong knowledge of hotshot, express freight, linehaul and regional transport operations.

- Demonstrated commercial acumen in budgeting, business development and profitability management.

- Excellent leadership, customer relationship, communication and stakeholder management skills.

- A proactive, commercially driven and results-focused approach, with a strong commitment to safety and operational excellence.

- Current driver’s license.
