About the role
The Community Transport Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the safe, reliable and efficient delivery of St John Community Transport services. Working closely with clients, volunteers and drivers, you will coordinate bookings, roster drivers, provide operational support and ensure a high standard of customer service is maintained. This hands-on role combines administration, coordination and occasional driving duties to help ensure clients can access essential transport services. The position is ordinarily worked across Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, with regular office attendance required on Mondays.

As our ideal candidate, you will possess:

- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients, volunteers and stakeholders.
- Robust organisational and time management skills, with the ability to coordinate bookings, schedules and competing priorities.
- Experience in administration, rostering, transport coordination or a similar customer-focused role.
- Sound computer skills, including experience using databases, online systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Proactive and solutions-focused, with the ability to resolve issues effectively while maintaining professionalism, discretion and confidentiality.
- Current Australian Driver Licence and a genuine commitment to supporting older and vulnerable community members through safe, reliable and respectful transport services.
