1st year Spray Painting Apprentice - Artarmon

1300apprentice is seeking a motivated and reliable 1st Year Spray Painting Apprentice to join a great team and work towards a nationally recognised qualification.

No previous spray-painting experience is required , just a positive attitude, a willingness to learn and a genuine interest in hands-on work!

Some of what you will be doing:

You'll learn the skills and techniques used by professional spray painters, including:

- Preparing surfaces by cleaning, sanding and removing rust, grease and dirt.
- Learning to mix paints and coatings to achieve the right finish.
- Using professional spray-painting equipment to apply paint and protective coatings.
- Developing techniques to achieve smooth, high-quality finishes.
- Sanding and rubbing down surfaces between coats.
- Inspecting finished work and touching up imperfections.
- Learning how to clean and maintain spray guns, hoses and other equipment.
- Following workplace safety procedures and using protective equipment correctly.

What are we looking for?

We're looking for someone who is keen to learn, takes pride in their work and wants to build a future in a skilled trade.

Ideally, you'll have:

- A genuine interest in spray painting, painting or hands‑on work.
- Good attention to detail and an eye for colour and finish.
- A reliable attitude and a willingness to listen, learn and follow instructions.
- The ability to work as part of a team and follow workplace safety procedures.
- The physical fitness to undertake practical work, including standing and bending for extended periods.
- Normal colour vision and the ability to work safely around paints, solvents and dust.




- Driver's licence minimum P
- Previous experience isn't essential. Your attitude, reliability and enthusiasm to learn are what matter most.
