Public Sector People are partnering with a Local Council to recruit a Locum Manager People & Development for an immediate start.

Contract: Approx. 5 Months | Immediate Start

Responsibilities:

- Lead the HR and WHS functions across the organisation.
- Provide advice on employee relations, investigations, performance management and industrial relations matters.
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, learning & development and workforce planning.
- Develop and maintain HR and WHS policies, procedures and compliance frameworks.
- Partner with senior leaders to drive positive people and safety outcomes.

Essential:

- Demonstrated leadership experience across Human Resources and WHS.
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation, industrial relations and workplace health & safety.
- Experience managing complex employee relations matters.
- Previous Local Government experience highly regarded.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
