Financial Accountant Construction Company 3 month contract

An experienced Accountant role with a leading construction company focused on delivering quality projects in commercial construction, tenancy work and retail and construction solutions. This is a 3-month contract position based in Wetherill Park, providing accounting services to support the client's construction business.

Key responsibilities

- Month end closure and accounts payable and receivable
- Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring all transactions are properly recorded
- Preparing monthly accounts and cashflow statements
- Preparing invoices and BAS statements for review by external accounting firm
- Processing payroll and superannuation
- Maintaining the fixed asset register
- Attending to ad hoc finance and administration matters

About you





- Ideally 10 years accounting experience
- Strong preference for experience in construction and property sectors with understanding of sector finance nuances
- Proficiency in Xero
- Degree qualified with CA/CPA qualification
- Self-starting with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to work with colleagues and management
