Sébastien Sans Gluten is on the lookout for an experienced and passionate Café Manager to take the lead at our popular Leichhardt café.

We are not looking for someone who simply manages a roster. We want a natural leader who loves the buzz of a busy café, knows how to bring out the best in their team and takes pride in creating an experience that keeps customers coming back.

What you will be doing:

- As our Café Manager, you'll be the driving force behind the day-to-day operation, leading from the front and making sure everything runs smoothly.
- Leading, motivating and developing a team of approximately 11 staff, including kitchen.
- creating a positive, fun and high-performing workplace where people enjoy coming to work.
- overseeing daily café operations and ensuring exceptional service.
- getting hands-on during busy periods and supporting your team wherever needed.
- managing rosters, labour costs and team productivity.
- monitoring sales and identifying opportunities to grow the business.
- overseeing stock, ordering and inventory.




- maintaining exceptional food, coffee and presentation standards.
- building relationships with regular customers and welcoming new ones.
- managing customer feedback and resolving issues professionally.
- ensuring food safety, WHS and operational procedures are followed (essential).
- working closely with senior management to introduce improvements and fresh ideas.

About You:

You are the kind of person who thrives in a busy café, knows what great service looks like and isn't afraid to roll up your sleeves.

Most importantly, you love people, great coffee and creating a workplace where your team can succeed.

You will bring:

- At least 2 years' experience managing a café, restaurant or busy hospitality venue.
- strong barista skills and a genuine appreciation for great coffee.
- confidence leading, training and motivating a team.
- a hands-on leadership style. You are happy to jump on the coffee machine or help on the floor.
- a valuable understanding of rosters, labour costs, stock management and café profitability.
- a friendly, outgoing personality and excellent customer service skills.
- strong organisation, initiative and problem-solving skills.
- a positive attitude and the ability to keep your cool when things get busy.
- a genuine passion for hospitality and delivering a memorable customer experience.
- availability to work weekends, with no night shifts required.
