The Younity School is Moreton Bay's independent special assistance middle school, supporting students in Years 7 to 9 to reengage in education and rediscover their love of learning. Since opening in 2024, we've built a reputation for inclusive, inspiring and safe classrooms where students thrive.

We now have a unique opportunity for an experienced candidate to lead our team of Education Support Officers/ Teacher Aides and build how education support works in our special assistance school. This role is permanent, full time, 52 weeks a year, starting Term 1, 2027.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Education Support Lead is central to how support works in every classroom at our school. You will lead and line manage our team of Education Support Officers, work with the Head of School to shape what the ESO role looks like at TYS, and make sure ESOs and teachers work well together in each class. As a member of the School Management Team, you will bring the education support perspective to whole-school planning and decisions.

You will be responsible for the systems the ESO team relies on each day, including medication procedures, duty rosters, transitions back into class and the recording of student adjustments. Additionally, you will lead the rollout of a structured reading intervention program delivered by ESOs.

This is a non-teaching role, so your focus is on building a strong, well-supported team and making sure every student gets consistent, high-quality support.
