About the Role:

As a Cook at Light Years, you will be responsible for delivering dishes that reflect our modern Asian-inspired menu with consistency and attention to detail. You will work closely with our Head Chef and kitchen team to maintain high culinary standards and contribute to an unforgettable dining experience.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

- Prepare, cook, and present dishes in line with Light Years’ recipes and quality standards.
- Ensure food is served efficiently, on time, and at the highest standard during service periods.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen in accordance with food safety and hygiene practices.
- Assist in daily kitchen operations including prep work, stock rotation, and ordering supplies.
- Monitor portion control and waste to support cost-effective kitchen operations.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service.

- Relevant cookery qualifications
- Experience with modern Asian cuisine highly regarded.
- Proven ability to work under pressure and multitask.
- Strong understanding of kitchen operations, food safety, and hygiene regulations.
- A positive attitude, team-focused mindset, and excellent communication skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
