Maser Communications is looking for a reliable and self-motivated Warehouse & Inventory Coordinator to join our Brisbane operation.
This is a hands-on warehouse role responsible for the day-to-day movement, storage and dispatch of stock, along with maintaining an organised, safe and accurate warehouse.
The role would suit someone who is comfortable working independently, takes ownership of their work and enjoys keeping a warehouse running efficiently.
At times you may be required to operate the Brisbane site independently, so reliability, organisation and the ability to use your own judgement are important.
Key responsibilities
- Receive and check incoming stock and deliveries
- Pick, pack and dispatch customer orders accurately and on time
- Book freight and liaise with freight companies regarding collections and deliveries
- Maintain inventory accuracy and appropriate stock locations
- Assist with stocktakes and investigate stock discrepancies
- Cut and reel electrical and communications cable to customer requirements
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely
- Load and unload deliveries
- Maintain accurate records for goods received and dispatched
- Keep the warehouse clean, organised and safe
- Ensure stock is stored correctly and warehouse space is used efficiently
- Carry out general warehouse and site maintenance
- Identify damaged stock, stock shortages or warehouse issues and report them appropriately
- Assist with improving warehouse processes and efficiency
- Work independently and take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the warehouse when required
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous warehouse, storeperson or similar experience
- Experience receiving, handling, picking, packing and dispatching goods
- Positive inventory and stock-control skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic computer skills and the ability to learn our inventory and business systems
- The ability to organise your own workload and work independently
- A practical, hands-on approach and good problem-solving skills
- A punctual and reliable approach to work
- Pride in maintaining a safe, clean and efficient warehouse
- The physical ability to carry out regular manual handling and heavy lifting
- A willingness to learn about our products and warehouse processes
- Experience cutting and reeling electrical cable would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Experience using power tools and warehouse machinery would also be beneficial.
- A current HLTAID011 Provide First Aid certificate would be advantageous.
