The home of SA’s iconic Menz FruChocs and Australian favourite Violet Crumble, Menz Confectionery has 150 years of tradition as a family business spanning four generations.

We manufacture some of Australia’s best-known confectionery products, including Menz FruChocs, Violet Crumble, Menz Crown Mints and Robern Delightfuls.

The Opportunities

We are looking for reliable and motivated people to join our confectionery production team on Afternoon Shift.

We have opportunities available across casual and permanent full-time employment .

Casual opportunities

Casual employees will become part of our production casual pool, supporting the business as production requirements change.

Applicants should be comfortable with:

Hours and days varying from week to week

Shifts being offered based on production requirements

There being no guaranteed number of hours each week

Working across different production areas as required

Casual roles can be a great opportunity for people looking to gain experience within a food manufacturing environment.

Permanent full-time opportunities

Permanent full-time positions are limited and will be offered to candidates who best meet the requirements of the role.

For these positions, preference will be given to applicants who can demonstrate relevant experience such as:

Previous manufacturing or production experience

Food manufacturing or food safety experience

Knowledge of HACCP and food hygiene requirements

Experience operating production machinery or equipment

Experience performing quality checks in a manufacturing environment

A strong understanding of workplace safety and following procedures

What You'll Be Doing

Depending on the production area and your level of experience,



your responsibilities may include:

Packing and labelling confectionery products

Operating production machinery and equipment

Monitoring production lines and product quality

Completing quality control checks

Following food safety, hygiene and workplace safety requirements

Assisting with production line setup and changeovers

Handling ingredients and raw materials

Completing general production and cleaning tasks

These duties build on the production, machine operation, quality, safety and raw-material responsibilities already included in the existing

About You

We’re looking for people who are reliable, safety conscious and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

To be successful, you will need:

A positive attitude and willingness to learn

The ability to work independently and as part of a team

A strong commitment to safety, quality and food hygiene

The ability to follow instructions and established processes

The ability to undertake repetitive production tasks and movements

The physical capacity to undertake the manual handling requirements of the role

Previous manufacturing, food production, food safety and machine operating experience will be highly regarded, particularly for candidates seeking permanent full-time employment.
