Job Description

EAT 24 EAT 24 (The Trustee for EAT 24 Family Trust) is seeking a qualified and experienced Full-Time Baker in Brunswick, Melbourne. The role involves preparing Turkish, Mediterranean and Western-style bakery products, including artisan bread, sourdough, pide and pastries, using traditional wood-fired ovens and commercial baking equipment.

Task & responsibilities Check the cleanliness of equipment and premises to ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards. Inspect raw materials and accurately weigh and measure ingredients. Prepare, knead, mature, cut, mould and shape dough for bread, rolls, pide, pizza and pastries.

Prepare pastry fillings and other bakery products. Monitor oven temperatures, baking times and product quality. Operate traditional wood-fired ovens and commercial baking equipment.

Coordinate the preparation, baking and cooling of bread and pastry products.



Glaze pastries and decorate cakes with cream and icing. Operate dough-mixing, rolling, moulding and cutting machinery.

Clean and maintain baking trays, tins and other equipment. Qualification & experience Certificate III or IV in Baking or Patisserie, Diploma or equivalent qualification. Approximately 1–3 years of relevant experience in a commercial bakery or similar environment.

Experience in traditional wood-fired oven baking is highly regarded. Knowledge of Turkish, Mediterranean and Western-style bakery products. Strong skills in dough preparation, fermentation, shaping and baking.

Good understanding of food safety and hygiene standards. Reliable, hardworking and able to work independently or as part of a team.
