Workcontrol Operations Pty Ltd is a leading provider in the traffic management. We’re currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts & Payroll Assistant to join our team on a permanent full- time basis.
About the Role
Reporting to the Accounts & Finance Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day finance and payroll functions. You’ll ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across payroll and accounts operations while contributing to the smooth running of our business.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with legislation and Awards
- Accounts payable and receivable processing, reconciliations, and reporting
- Previous experience in payroll and accounts administration (minimum 2 years essential)
- Assisting with month-end and year-end finance tasks
- General accounting and administrative support as required
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in payroll and accounts administration (essential)
- Strong working knowledge of Xero Accounting Software
- Experience using Employment Hero / KeyPay (highly regarded)
- Sound understanding of payroll legislation, superannuation, and PAYG requirements
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and excellent organisational skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a small team
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
