Join a key state treasury entity as a Principal Underwriter on an initial 3 month contract with potential for extension.
You will deliver high level underwriting advice, assess complex portfolio risks, and determine appropriate annual premium models across major government agencies.
Working alongside senior leaders, you will evaluate property and liability risk exposures, advise on catastrophe reinsurance programs, and monitor portfolio claims trends to shape future policy decisions.
The Tech Stack & Setting
Advanced Microsoft Excel for complex risk modeling, claims data analysis, and premium calculations
Enterprise insurance management systems and public sector actuarial frameworks
High level engagement with senior Treasury officers, agency stakeholders, and insurance brokers




What You'll Bring
Proven underwriting experience across general insurance, with emphasis on property lines
Robust background or practical experience in property claims management
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and trend analysis
Transparent written and verbal communication skills for executive briefings and stakeholder engagement
