2nd & 3rd Year Electrical Apprentices, Solar & Battery - Multiple Full time Positions Available

Are you an apprentice looking for an opportunity to actually learn the trade, not just carry panels and sweep up?

Are you the type of person who just cracks on with it, without waiting for a nudge?

Do you see yourself as a proper sparky one day, someone who wants to be good at this, not just get through the four years?

Above award rates depending on year and experience

Monthly RDO | Real mentoring in a small crew | Quality installs, no rush jobs

We have multiple full-time positions available. You’ll work out of our Heatherbrae workshop on jobs across Port Stephens, Newcastle and Maitland. It’s local work, with no endless travel. Most days are standard hours. Some overtime is needed to get the job done, and it’s paid at 1.5x and 2x.

The Role

You’ll be part of a small crew of licensed, accredited electricians and apprentices, working together on quality solar and battery installs. Small crew means you’re not lost in the numbers. You get real time with the sparkies, and you learn the trade properly. Every job is a private install for our own customers, with quality gear and enough time quoted to do it right. Day to day, you’ll be doing:

- Solar panel installation and roof wiring
- Inverter, battery and EV charger installs

- Switchboard and general electrical work alongside the sparkies
- Keeping sites clean, safe and compliant
- Solar experience is a bonus, not a must. If you’ve got the attitude, we’ll teach you the rest.

You Must Have

- Current enrolment as a 2nd or 3rd year electrical apprentice
- White Card
- Comfort working on roofs
- A good attitude. We’ve built a great crew and we’re protective of it.

This won’t suit you if

- You’re only here to get your hours signed off
- You wait to be told instead of asking
- You can’t take being corrected without sulking
- You’re on your phone when there’s work to do
- You leave the site for someone else to clean up

If that’s not you, keep reading.

About Us

Sinclair Renewable Energy is a solar and battery company based in Heatherbrae. We’ve been servicing homes across Port Stephens, Newcastle and Maitland since 2021.

We believe happy staff do good work, good work makes happy customers, and happy customers are how we’ve built our reputation. That’s why we look after our team first.

We’re a tight crew of sparkies, apprentices and office staff who genuinely get along, back each other and take pride in everything we put our name on. Nobody here is a number, and egos don’t last. We’re growing, and we’re picky about who joins, because the culture we’ve built is what we’re proudest of.
