Full-time or part-time | Killarney, Queensland

K-Life is seeking an organised and detail-focused Rostering & Finance Officer to support our team of 120+ employees across the organisation, including staff delivering services 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Based in beautiful Killarney, you will join a not-for-profit community organisation where your work helps ensure our teams are appropriately rostered and paid accurately and on time.

As a valued point of contact for our team, you’ll be the person employees and managers turn to for support with rosters and day-to-day scheduling, helping ensure our services run smoothly. You’ll also process fortnightly payroll across multiple awards and employment arrangements, and support the finance team with accounts payable, invoice processing and data entry.

Full-time or part-time arrangements will be considered.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and maintain rosters for 120+ employees across the organisation, ensuring appropriate coverage for services operating 24/7.

- Coordinate day-to-day scheduling changes, including leave coverage, staff availability and unplanned absences, working closely with managers and coordinators.

- Support workforce planning by identifying roster gaps and communicating staffing requirements promptly.

- Process fortnightly payroll accurately and on time, applying relevant award provisions, employment agreements, allowances and leave entitlements.

- Maintain accurate and confidential employee, rostering and payroll records.

- Assist with accounts payable, invoice processing, data entry and maintaining financial records.

- Respond professionally to employee and manager enquiries about rosters, timesheets and payroll.

- Provide administrative and backup support to the scheduling and finance teams.

What You’ll Bring

- Experience in rostering and scheduling, preferably within aged care, community services or another 24/7 workplace.

- Payroll experience and an understanding of working across multiple awards and employment arrangements.

- Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.

- Clear communication skills and a practical, approachable manner when working with employees and managers.

- The ability to respond calmly to changing staffing needs and resolve scheduling issues collaboratively.

- A commitment to confidentiality and the accurate handling of employee and financial information.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with rostering, payroll or finance systems, or a willingness to learn.

- Experience in finance administration, accounts payable or data entry will be highly regarded.

If you enjoy coordinating people, working with numbers and contributing to a community-focused organisation, we would welcome your application.
