Port Curtis Medical Centre is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our friendly team on a casual basis. Working in our medical centre located in Gladstone, QLD, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality nursing care to our patients.
4 days work offered.
What you'll be doing
- Assisting doctors with medical examinations and treatments
- Administering medications and injections under the supervision of a registered medical practitioner
- Monitoring patients' conditions and reporting any changes to the doctor
- Providing holistic nursing care to patients, including wound care, health education and emotional support
- Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and procedures
- Collaborating with the wider healthcare team to deliver coordinated, patient-centred care
What we're looking for
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia for RN applications.
- Preferred to have their spirometry and DAS certificates, however not essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds
- Commitment to providing high-quality,
patient-centred care and a desire to contribute to the overall success of the medical centre
- Flexible and adaptable approach to work, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
