Chef de Partie $75,000-$80,000 About the role

We are on the hunt for a passionate, hard-working Chef de Partie (CDP) to join our existing team of amazing kitchen talent. The Prince is a much-loved local landmark and an award-winning modern Australian gastropub known for serving up everything from Newcastle's "Best Pub Burger" to premium hand stretched pizzas, fresh seafood, and some of Australia's finest steaks. Our multi-faceted kitchen operates at a high volume across our busy restaurant, bustling bars, and outdoor balcony.

Key responsibilities

- Take full ownership of your assigned kitchen section, ensuring preparation, cooking, and presentation meet exact venue standards
- Maintain absolute consistency across our diverse menu, from high-volume pub classics to premium bistro dishes
- Uphold rigorous hygiene, food safety, and stock management protocols
- Work cohesively alongside senior chefs while mentoring and supporting junior apprentices and kitchen hands

About you





- Proven experience as a Chef de Partie in a busy, high-volume pub, hotel, or restaurant workplace
- Competent on pans and grill
- Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery (preferred)
- Strong organisational and communication skills under high-pressure service windows
- A positive, reliable team-player mentality with a genuine desire to learn and progress
- Full availability to work a rotating roster including days, nights, weekends, and public holidays
