We are seeking a skilled and reliable full-time Road Traffic Controller to join our team in Karratha, Western Australia.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, supervise and dismantle temporary traffic management arrangements, including road signs and traffic control equipment.
- Regulate the movement of vehicles and pedestrians through construction areas, accident sites and other road disruptions while maintaining the safety of workers, emergency personnel and the public.
- Operate Stop/Slow signs and other traffic control devices to manage and guide traffic safely.
- Maintain radio communication with fellow traffic controllers, construction personnel and emergency responders to exchange information and provide updates on traffic conditions.
- Conduct routine site inspections and observe traffic movements and behaviour to identify potential hazards and maintain safe traffic conditions.
- Carry out directions provided by team leaders, site supervisors, managers, inspectors, auditors and other authorised personnel.
Qualifications and Experience Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Qualification: At least a relevant Certificate
I qualification or higher.
- Experience: Minimum one year of full-time work experience in traffic control or a closely related field.
