- Experience in vehicle servicing, mechanical repairs and fault diagnosis.
- Good knowledge of engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension and cooling systems.
- Ability to dismantle, repair, replace and reassemble mechanical components.
- Competent in using computerised diagnostic equipment and workshop tools.
- Understanding of manufacturer specifications, service procedures and safe work practices.
- Reliable, detail-oriented and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Benefits Hours and remuneration This is a full-time position of approximately 45 ordinary hours per week, worked 5 days per week, with overtime available. The remuneration for the role is $75,000 – $85,000 per annum, exclusive of superannuation, together with compulsory superannuation and any penalty rates, overtime and allowances payable under the Manufacturing Award [MA000010].

Task & responsibilities About the role We are seeking a skilled and reliable Motor Mechanic to join our workshop on a full time, ongoing basis.

The company has a lot of service vehicles used by its personnel that must be checked regularly and well maintained. The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining all the company vehicles and keep them up and running at all times. Key duties and responsibilities

- Identify and diagnose mechanical problems in engines and vehicle components.
- Dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmission, steering systems, and other vehicle parts for inspection.

- Repair or replace damaged and worn-out components, then reassemble mechanical parts using service manuals when necessary.

- Perform routine vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, lubrication, and engine tune-ups,



to improve performance and meet emission standards.
- Reassemble engines and other components after completing repairs.

- Test and adjust repaired mechanical components to ensure they function properly.
- Use computerized diagnostic tools to identify and assess faults in vehicle systems and components.

- Inspect vehicle for roadworthiness and issue roadworthiness certificates or recommend necessary repairs.
- Provide roadside assistance and respond to vehicle breakdowns when needed.

Qualification & experience Qualifications

- A Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job-training or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3)
- At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed above.
