Position Overview CAV Air Services Pty Ltd is a trusted provider of mechanical services, delivering tailored air movement solutions across residential, commercial and industrial projects. Based in Caringbah, the business provides air conditioning installation and maintenance, mechanical ventilation and associated controls across Greater Sydney, the Illawarra and NSW.

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Airconditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic specialising in HVAC to join our team. The successful candidate will install, commission, service and repair air conditioning systems and associated refrigeration components, ensuring safe, reliable and efficient operation across a range of project sites. Key Responsibilities

- Read drawings, specifications and technical manuals to plan HVAC installation,



servicing and repair work.
- Install air conditioning units, refrigerant pipework, valves, fittings and associated mechanical components.
- Pressure-test pipework, check for leaks, evacuate systems and charge or recover refrigerant using appropriate procedures.
- Commission systems, test operating pressures and temperatures, and adjust controls to achieve specified performance.
- Diagnose faults, repair or replace defective components, and carry out preventative maintenance, keeping accurate service records and following site safety requirements.

Qualifications and Skills

- Relevant trade qualification in air conditioning and refrigeration, or equivalent recognised qualification.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in HVAC installation, servicing and fault diagnosis.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and troubleshoot mechanical, refrigeration and associated control faults within licence scope.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety, quality workmanship and effective teamwork.
- Current driver’s licence and Construction White Card; willingness to travel to project sites.

Salary: $98,800 to $115,000 per annum plus superannuation, based on qualifications and experience. This is a full-time position for a 38-hour work week.
