Position: Beauty Therapist Location: Glenorchy TAS 7010, Australia Employment Type: Full-time, 38 hours per week About the Role Our client Royal Shape by Thread Pty Ltd is hiring a full-time dedicated Beauty Therapist.

We are seeking a professional and client-focused candidate to provide a range of beauty and personal care services at our Glenorchy, Tasmania location. The successful candidate will consult with clients to understand their needs, assess skin and beauty requirements, recommend appropriate treatments and products, and deliver services in a safe, hygienic and professional manner. The role involves providing facial and body treatments, make-up services, nail care and hair-removal treatments, while maintaining accurate client records, managing appointments and keeping treatment areas and equipment clean and ready for use.

This is an opportunity for a motivated Beauty Therapist with robust technical skills, attention to detail and a commitment to client care to contribute to a positive and welcoming experience. Key Responsibilities

- Responsible for assessing clients’ beauty needs, recommending suitable treatments and products, delivering beauty services, managing appointments and records, and maintaining salon hygiene and stock.

Duties

- Consult with clients to discuss their beauty needs and preferences, assess skin and eyebrow characteristics, and recommend suitable treatments and products.
- Perform facial and skin-care treatments, including cleansing, exfoliation, masks and other appropriate therapies to maintain skin condition.




- Remove unwanted facial and body hair using threading, waxing, tinting, bleaching and depilation, including eyebrow shaping and design.
- Apply general, corrective and occasion-specific make-up according to client requirements.
- Perform manicures and pedicures, including nail shaping, polishing, nail art, artificial nail application and hand and foot treatments.
- Evaluate beauty products, treatment methods and salon procedures, and stay updated on current threading, skincare and beauty techniques.
- Receive bookings, arrange and confirm appointments, respond to client enquiries and maintain accurate consultation and treatment records.
- Recommend and sell cosmetic and skin-care products, providing advice on their proper use and appropriate home-care routines.
- Prepare, clean and sanitise treatment areas and equipment in accordance with salon hygiene and infection-control procedures.
- Monitor client comfort during treatments and provide appropriate aftercare instructions.
- Maintain adequate stocks of beauty products and supplies and report shortages or equipment issues to the responsible manager.
- Follow salon procedures and applicable health, safety and product-handling requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

- AQF Certificate III or higher
- At least two years of relevant experience

Salary:

- $75,000 - $85,000 + Superannuation annually
