About the Role

We are currently seeking a Draftsperson to join our Engineering Division based at our Heatherbrae office. This is a full time, office based position supporting the design and delivery of electrical and mechanical fire protection systems across a range of commercial and industrial projects.

In this role, you will be responsible for producing detailed engineering and design drawings, preparing project documentation, and supporting the Engineering team throughout the project lifecycle. You will work closely with engineers, internal and external stakeholders to develop accurate, compliant, and practical fire protection system designs.

This position offers the prospect to work on a diverse range of projects within a growing business, with ongoing support and professional development available. The role is based in our Heatherbrae office and operates on a standard Monday to Friday work schedule.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed AutoCAD drawings for electrical and mechanical fire protection systems

- Develop layouts, schematics,



fabrication drawings and as built documentation

- Collaborate with engineers, project managers and field personnel to deliver project outcomes

- Liaise with mining, industrial and commercial customers to support design requirements and project delivery

- Ensure drawings and documentation comply with relevant Australian Standards, client specifications and project requirements

Experience and Qualifications

- Proficiency in AutoCAD with demonstrated experience producing technical and engineering drawings

- Experience in drafting electrical and mechanical fire protection systems, or a willingness to learn

- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications and project documentation

- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and commitment to producing high quality work

- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

- A high standard of safety awareness and commitment to continuous improvement

- Ability to work independently while maintaining effective communication with internal stakeholders and customers

- Strong problem solving skills and the ability to contribute positively within a collaborative team environment
