The Company
This is an opportunity to join a highly respected industry organisation dedicated to supporting quality, compliance and best practice across the Australian fresh produce sector. With a collaborative and down-to-earth culture, the organisation plays a critical role in helping businesses operate more effectively and sustainability. As they continue to evolve and enhance internal operations, they are seeking a proactive and hands-on Operations & Process Improvement Coordinator to join the team on an initial 6-month contract.
The Role
This is not a traditional project management role. We're looking for someone who enjoys getting into the detail, working alongside stakeholders, understanding how work is actually completed and identifying smarter, more efficient ways of operating. Reporting to the Head of Support Services, you will be responsible for reviewing, documenting and improving internal business processes, ensuring procedures are clear, current, consistent and easily accessible across the organisation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing and updating the organisation's document register to ensure records are accurate, current and appropriately maintained.
- Identifying and consolidating contracts and agreements into a centralised repository, including key dates, obligations and ownership.
- Working directly with team members to document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and capture critical operational knowledge.
- Reviewing existing workflows to identify inefficiencies, process duplication and opportunities for improvement.
- Providing practical recommendations to streamline processes and enhance operational effectiveness.
- Supporting the implementation of agreed improvements and ensuring process changes are clearly documented and communicated.
- Championing best practice process management and continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation.
You
To be successful in this role, you will bring a robust operational mindset and enjoy working closely with people to understand and improve the way work is done.
You will ideally have:
- Experience in business administration, operational excellence, process documentation or continuous improvement roles.
- Demonstrated experience developing SOPs, process maps, business procedures or operational documentation.
- Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- The ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across all levels of an organisation.
- Confidence identifying inefficiencies and recommending practical, achievable solutions.
- Strong Microsoft 365 skills and the ability to quickly learn new systems.
- A self-motivated approach with the ability to manage competing priorities independently.
Candidates with backgrounds in operations, business support, quality systems, administration, continuous improvement or process optimisation will be highly regarded.
On Offer
- Initial 6-month contract with the opportunity to make a tangible impact.
- A varied and hands-on role where your recommendations will directly influence how the organisation operates.
- Collaborative and supportive team environment.
- Prospect to work across all areas of the business and partner with key stakeholders.
- Flexible and inclusive culture.
- Competitive remuneration package.
If you enjoy understanding how organisations operate, documenting best practice and driving meaningful process improvements, we'd love to hear from you. This is a fantastic opportunity to leave a lasting legacy within a purpose-driven organisation.
Please send an application through this link in the first instance and long listed candidates will be contacted directly.
